The 2017 International Coastal Cleanup takes place on Sept. 16, 8 to 11 a.m., along the A1A Scenic and Historic Coastal Byway. The event is free and suitable for all ages.
Working in conjunction with the Ocean Conservancy and sponsored locally by the Friends of A1A and Surfing’s Evolution & Preservation Foundation, volunteers will work together to clean up the shoreline and waterways in St. Johns and Flagler counties.
Team leaders Adam Morley (St. Johns County) and Linda Provencher (Flagler County) will organize volunteers within the community to help with this global effort.
